Consolidated Returns
As an added feature to our DirectRecovery program for electronically collecting bounced checks Access Payment Systems offers Consolidated Returns. Rather then waiting for your bank to forward any NSF checks to our processing center all returned items will be sent directly from the Federal Reserve to our bank. Since the returned check is not sent back to your bank, your bank will not charge you any NSF check fees. Typically merchants are charged any where from $3.00 to as much as $20.00 or more per returned check. Our charges are less then this.
In addition to less bank NSF fees we will have the checks in our electronic collection system much faster than the standard process of your bank forwarding the checks to our DirectRecovery processing center by US mail. Typically we can have the check in our system in three to five days with Consolidated Returns instead of ten to fourteen days without it. This is very important in the the success of collecting on your NSF checks. The longer you wait to collect on NSF checks the chances of collecting them is less and less.
